Field Day: Clyde Farm

Join Jimi at Clyde Farm, an organic practicing operation in Farmington, New Hampshire, to see firsthand how holistic, nutrient-cycling systems work on a small, diversified farm with cattle, pigs, and poultry, along with fruit & veggies.

See how they use grazing management to develop the processes for nutrient cycling on the farm in real life.  Explore efficient workflows, along with manual and mechanized manure removal, composting, and spreading. Barn and composting facility design, seasonal clean-out strategies, and labor considerations will be discussed with an emphasis on efficiency and protecting water and air quality. Composting methods, nutrient stabilization, and best practices for manure and compost applications based on crop needs will round out the workshop.

Ideal for farmers, small-scale livestock keepers, and land stewards seeking more sustainable and effective manure management systems.
