Interested in Organic Farming?
Are you curious about what it takes to grow under organic regulations? Want to better understand the organic standards or how your current practices might align?
Join our online gathering for an open discussion and Q&A session! We'll cover the basics of organic production, help you navigate the regulations, and explore what organic really means—and what it doesn’t.
Whether you're just starting out or already using organic practices, this is a space to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with others on the journey. Everyone is welcome!
Effective pest management starts with knowing what’s happening in your field. This hands-on workshop focuses on the critical role of scouting in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), with a focus on vegetable crops like brassicas and alliums.
Participants will learn how to detect pest problems early, differentiate pest damage from disease or environmental stress, and practice pest ID. The evening will include interactive discussions, live scouting demonstrations, and group exercises to build your skills in the field.
Bring your soil sample for testing to these upcoming events!
We are excited to offer free Soil Tests with Analysis and Recommendations to attendees of these upcoming events listed below. If you plan to attend but cannot bring a sample in advance, we can guide you on how to collect it during the event. We invite you to bring a soil sample from your garden, farm, or landscape to be tested for soil chemistry as part of our upcoming workshop series on soil health. This is your chance to get real data about your soil and learn how to interpret it alongside experienced educators and fellow growers!
Join NOFA-NH at Nerdy Turnip Farm (Rochester, NH) for a field day program on the topic of growing organic tomatoes.
From strategic planning to strategic action. We’ve got a plan to move forward the plan and you’re a critical piece of it! Join the NH Food Alliance team for an overview of the structure of Strategic Plan implementation and to learn about the various roles everyone can and will play in the process. Following the presentation and Q&A, we will dive into a lively discussion about work that has already begun on Strategic Plan recommendations to help you consider how you might get involved.
This intensive workshop offers a practical, on-the-ground perspective for farmers interested in strengthening their soil health practices, streamlining fertility planning, and staying compliant within an organic production system.
Adapting Together: Navigating Change on the Farm
NH Agriculture Professionals Day is designed to build fellowship and togetherness within the agriculture service provider community. Recognizing that the work required of us today does not happen in a vacuum but is most effective and transformative when we come together, bridging our unique skills and resources across organizations inspired this year's theme: Adapting Together: Navigating Change on the Farm.
We will hear about a few signature programs and bring back the popular ‘lightning round’.
Join NOFA-NH at The Laurels Farm (Rochester, NH) for a field day program on the topic of scaling up from backyard gardener to organic micro farm.
Join us for an intimate, day-long gathering that features short, moving talks on the Main Stage from voices of the Organic Movement, as well as two sessions of focused breakout groups, a delicious lunch, and plenty of time to mingle and connect.
