Volunteer Opportunities

As a small, non-profit organization, NOFA-NH relies on volunteers for the success of our programs – from planning our annual Winter Conference to assisting with the spring Bulk Order pick-up, serving on our Board of Directors or on a Board Committee, and more. Your support as a volunteer is invaluable — it allows us to continue building a community of organic food activists and educated consumers to help support New Hampshire's local organic farming community. Passionate about our mission? Please join us! Fill out the interest form and a staff member will connect with you.

Ways to get Involved

There are many ways to support NOFA-NH’s mission and be part of the organic movement in New Hampshire. Whether you're a grower, educator, advocate, or just passionate about food and sustainability, we welcome your support.

Join Our Board or Committees
Provide leadership and help shape NOFA-NH’s programs, advocacy, and future direction by joining our Board of Directors or serving on a committee.

Volunteer for Our Annual Bulk Order
Support our annual Bulk Order by helping organize, distribute, and load supplies. Volunteers receive 5% off their order. Some roles may require lifting up to 50 lbs. Pickup takes place in early spring.

Help with Education & Outreach
Contribute to our events like the Winter Conference, field days, and gardening series. Volunteers assist with planning, logistics, and promotion. We also need help staffing tables at local events and spreading awareness about organic practices.

Other Opportunities
Opportunities come up year-round, and you may have skills we haven’t listed. Let us know how you’d like to help by filling out our Volunteer Interest Form.

We always welcome passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to join our committees! NOFA-NH has several committees made up of Board Members, staff and volunteers. You do not need to be a Board Member to join, and meetings are currently being held virtually.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Finance
The Finance Committee provides financial oversight for NOFA-NH, including budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting and the creation and monitoring of internal controls.

Fundraising

Policy, Education & Outreach
This committee meets monthly to develop strategies that advance NOFA-NH’s mission through advocacy, educational programming, and community outreach. Members collaborate on projects, build partnerships, and respond to emerging issues in the public sphere related to organic farming, food systems, and environmental/social policy.
