To address the need for more agroforestry technical assistance providers, we need multiple strategies. One important approach is supporting people already working as natural resource professionals to add agroforestry practices to the services they offer. At this meeting, we will discuss how we build professional pathways for agroforestry for different types of natural resource professionals. How do these practicing professionals acquire training to build agroforestry knowledge and skills relevant to their work? What training opportunities can we leverage and create for gaining those knowledge and skills? During this session, we will first hear from technical assistance provider speakers about their professional pathways to agroforestry. Next, we will all share our experiences with how we have built and want to build pathways to agroforestry training across multiple agricultural and natural resource professions.
