How long have you been a member of NOFA-NH? Off and on I have been a member of NOFA since sometime in the 1980s. Back in the day I was very active and a member of the NOFA board. Many years ago, so I don't really remember the specific dates. I was first certified organic by NH in 1988.

Why did you become a member of NOFA-NH? I became a member of NOFA NH because I was a new organic grower and knew that I had a lot to learn. NOFA really helped me grow into the farm that I operate today. I attended many great educational programs where I could harvest knowledge directly from organic farmers who came before me.

How has NOFA-NH impacted your business? I never even considered running a farm that was NOT organic. Organic knowledge and organic certification has been critical to our farm's success. We have never had a problem finding outlets for our produce. We just always need to figure out how to grow more.

What advice do you have for anyone thinking about becoming a NOFA-NH member? Don't think about it. Just do it. It's the only game in town.
